If you know enough wine lovers, you can probably tell which wine personality they are without taking a test. Just like wine character ranges from mild to bold, from smooth to spicy, so does yours, I'm sure. It may even depend on a day, can't it? A. Pinot noir - mysterious, soft but with a firm constitution and a soul as deep as the sea. You're demanding. But oh, oh, oh so worth it. You're the kind who has to have things just "so" before you're willing to open up and share your secrets. But we don't mind going to a little extra effort.
B. Merlot - easy to be with and simple in thoughts and tastes. There's a mystical side to you, slightly mischievous, but that only makes you the life of the party. The fact that we can't really know everything about you makes you all the more intriguing. It's just so hard to nail you down - sometimes you're subtle, other times you're adventurous. If we could forget about you we would, but who are we kidding? You had us at "hello."
C. Shiraz - a personality as big as a mountain - a real life cartoon - like Teddy Roosevelt. How could one person be so expressive and out there? Shiraz folks have a top-rate education, tell colorful stories and have a thirst for exotic adventure. They enjoy riding horses, hunting and fishing, and singing campfire songs.
D. Chardonnay - the really pretty person. You appreciate sophistication, but you're anything but stuffy. There is a refinement in the way you express yourself. If one is willing to take a step up the ladder, they'll find you're happy to meet them halfway. That's because, once you get past the stately surface, you're just as sweet as you can be.
E. Sauvignon blanc - good in a cocktail dress, great in jeans and a wonderful dinner companion. This is a no frills "real" person more comfortable with herself than most. She hasn't always been the most popular girl, so she has had time to develop a deep and solid character. This is an active person without pretense who enjoys outdoors and good company.
F. Primitivo - The Italian cousin to the American Red Zinfandel is spicy and hot. This is a grip 'em and rip 'em wine. Full of flavor and texture, it's virtually unheard of and therefore interesting. This person likes bold adventures such as snowshoeing across Arizona, and also enjoys Old Westerns and family-style Italian restaurants.
